Acceptable use
You may listen to, share links to, and enjoy our content for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the Service — including not attempting to disrupt it, not using it unlawfully, and not redistributing or re-uploading our episodes as your own or for commercial gain without our written permission.
Intellectual property and content
The Lantern & Ledger name, brand, episodes, scripts, artwork, and audio are our property or are used with permission, and are protected by applicable law. Historical facts are, of course, free to all; our particular research, writing, structure, and production are not. You may quote or reference episodes with attribution; you may not reproduce whole episodes or substantial portions without permission.
How the show is produced
Episodes are researched and scripted by a human and narrated using a synthetic (AI) voice, which we disclose on every platform that requires it. We aim for accuracy and clearly separate what is confirmed, what is debated, and what is legend — but the Service is provided for general interest and entertainment, and should not be relied upon as professional, academic, or legal advice.
No advertising — a stated commitment
Lantern & Ledger carries no advertising of any kind. We do not insert ad breaks, host-read sponsorships, or dynamically inserted ads into our episodes, and we do not intend to in the future. This ad-free commitment is a core promise of the Service. The show is supported directly by listeners and by platforms' ad-free listener programs.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Links to third-party platforms are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
